Terms of Service

Use MailOnce as a temporary service, not permanent infrastructure.

These Terms define the practical rules and boundaries for using MailOnce.

Effective: 29 September 2026.

Agreement to these Terms

By using MailOnce, you agree to these Terms and to use the service lawfully. You must also meet any age, legal-capacity or parental-authorization requirement that applies to you. If you do not agree or are not legally permitted to use the service, do not use it.

1. The service is temporary

MailOnce provides short-lived receiving inboxes and related verification features. Addresses, messages and linked access have lifecycle limits. Do not use a temporary inbox as the only recovery address for an important account, permanent document storage, or a workflow where loss of access could cause serious harm.

2. Receiving only; delivery is not guaranteed

MailOnce currently receives email and does not provide outbound sending or replies. Messages are sent by third parties, and websites decide whether to accept temporary-email domains. MailOnce does not guarantee that every message will arrive, arrive within a fixed time, or that every website will accept an address.

3. Acceptable use

You may use MailOnce for lawful temporary-email tasks, testing and separation from a primary address, provided that you respect product limits and the rights of others.

  • Use only inboxes and linked access you are authorized to use.
  • Respect rate limits, quotas and technical boundaries.
  • Follow applicable law and the rules of third-party services you choose to use.

4. Prohibited use

Do not use MailOnce to attack, deceive, exploit, disrupt or unlawfully access MailOnce or another service.

  • No denial-of-service activity, malicious automation or deliberate bypass of abuse controls.
  • No credential theft, phishing, malware distribution, unauthorized access or intentional exploitation of vulnerabilities.
  • No spam, impersonation, illegal activity, account farming or attempts to evade lawful enforcement or third-party protections.
  • No attempts to extract secrets, interfere with service integrity or consume shared capacity unreasonably.

5. Third-party content and services

Incoming messages, links, attachments and offers are supplied by third parties. Their appearance in an inbox is not an endorsement by MailOnce. Third-party websites and services have their own terms, privacy practices and eligibility rules.

6. Your responsibility for sensitive uses

Temporary email is not appropriate for every account. You are responsible for deciding whether a temporary address is suitable for a particular service and for keeping any credentials or recovery methods you need. Do not rely on MailOnce for high-risk, emergency, regulated or long-term access where continuity is essential.

7. Availability, limits and changes

MailOnce may be updated, maintained, rate-limited, suspended or temporarily unavailable. Features, domains, quotas and lifecycle rules may change to improve the service, respond to abuse, comply with law or protect infrastructure. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by an updated effective date.

8. Enforcement and termination

MailOnce may limit or terminate access when activity violates these Terms, threatens infrastructure or other users, consumes shared resources abusively, creates legal or security risk, or requires an urgent protective response. Where appropriate, technical controls may operate automatically.

9. Intellectual property

MailOnce's own branding, interface, text and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules except where a separate license says otherwise. These Terms do not give users ownership of MailOnce intellectual property. Third-party names and content remain the property of their respective owners.

10. No absolute warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MailOnce is provided on an as-available basis. MailOnce does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, delivery of every message, acceptance by every website, permanent retention, or suitability for critical use. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

11. Liability boundaries

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MailOnce is not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party senders, third-party websites, a user's decision to rely on a temporary address for unsuitable purposes, or interruptions outside MailOnce's reasonable control. This clause does not exclude or limit liability where applicable law does not permit that limitation.

12. Privacy

Use of MailOnce also involves the data practices described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains browser storage, temporary inbox data, retention, service providers, advertising disclosures and applicable privacy choices.

Applicable law and mandatory rights

MailOnce is the service name used in these Terms. Your use remains subject to laws that apply to you and to the service. These Terms do not invent a separate legal entity, court or governing jurisdiction that has not been expressly established by the service operator, and they do not waive consumer, privacy or other rights that applicable law does not permit to be waived. Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@mailonce.org.

Privacy is part of the service relationship
